Hi there All,
I'm a 32 year old attorney in the Boston area, and, as the topic states, just another clusterhead. Right now I'm in my fourth cluster. I'm one of the lucky ones. I was diagnosed properly after only four weeks of treatment for sinus infection some five years ago... After much experimentation, finally someone suggested oxygen. It worked! Glory hallelujah... This time around, however, it stopped... I revisited the world of nines and tens, twice to three times a night, for a week and a half before ending up in the emergency room.
Believe it or not, the on call neurologist prescribed Sansert and (can you BELIEVE this?) saw me the next day in his office for 45 minutes without taking a phone call or seeing another patient... The Sansert in combination with the oxygen is now working to keep me at about one six a day and allows blessed sleep.
I know that my story isn't typical of people here and that others are NOT having as much luck, but I thought maybe that some good news from someone who dances with the demon might be appreciated. I know that it won't last forever, that likely the Sansert will stop being effective at some point... Until then though, I'll live with the shadows, and I'm yet another out here who knows exactly what it feels like. Take care All... I'll be reading.
