but NOT during an attack, but during my cycle time. Mine is more like a flashing wavy line, across vision that moves across from nose to outer eye. Is there for 20 mins, even if I close my eyes...seems to be in both eyes, can't rub it away, repeats. I can usually tell secs before it starts that it's going to happen. I can still see but the bright flashing wavy line distorts things a little. Usually don't have them in remission time.
Most of the wavy line is just above middle of vision field, but not a straight line. Some of it is farer up and some lower. I'd say the line is 1/8th (not good on guessing %) of vision field, but with the BRIGHT flashing it distorts most of the vision field. The hardest part is to read something at the time. Don't know what causes me to have one start. Thinking it might be blood pressure at the time...but I'm not real sure on that. Don't really think so, but my blood pressure is higher during my cycle time!
My eye doctor calls them optical migraine without the pain of a migraine, but I don't know how much he knows. But when I told him about them he asked if they lasted about 20 mins...which they do for me and that is when he said optical migraine without pain.
Hope this helps.
