Like almost everyone that comes here, I had developed my 1-10 scale for clusters over the years. Kip did an outstanding job of putting it down in writing. The more I think about it though, I don't fit in the scale. I've realized that my scale is more a funtion of time than level of pain. You see, my headches go from 0 to 10 in intensity in the first five or ten minutes. After that it's just a matter of how long this sucker is gonna last. If I can knock it out in 10 minutes, its' a 4 or 5. 30 minutes = a 6, 7 or 8. When they go 1 to 2 hours they're 10s.

I'm wondering if I'm alone in this. Do others ramp up to full strength in the first few minutes of an attack?

(Just one of my weekend brain wanderings).

Luv you guys,

Bob P
