Hi, David. I've enjoyed reading your postings this past month, and have been waiting for someone to post the question on Verapamil.
My last two cluster cycles were treated with Verapamil, starting at 120mg and escalating to 300-something. I liked that it prevented most of the clusters and made the rest abortable. Most of the side effects I could deal with.
What I didn't like was that it limited my workouts, like, completely. I went from a 2 1/2 hour workout 4x a week to 20 minutes tops before I was ready to collapse. It doesn't sound like a big deal, but exercise is how I deal with stress, and I've never found anything more stressful than a cluster cycle!
Has anyone found a way to overcome this problem (besides not taking the Verapamil)? Barring that, has anyone found a good substitute for it? Please let me know as my cycle is due to start (Oh God) in September. Thanks!
