I took that same combo when I was first diagnosed with CH back in February. I had the same experience as Judi with the prednisone. As I approached the end of the treatment, the attacks came back with a vengence. The 240mg verapamil worked, but took 2 to 3 weeks to take effect. Also had to increase verapamil dosage to 360mg about 2 months later to maintain control of attacks. The only verapamil side effect I experienced was a lack of energy.
Zomig did nothing for me. Have you tried oxygen?
I also got some relief from breathing cold air.
