Everyone uses it in alittle different way but this is
how it works best for me.......Air tight mask with
regulator anywhere from 12-15 lpm. Breath through mouth deeply(the 02 provider told
me that breathing thru the mouth was prefered, I use the
mouth because the nose is painful at times and if congested
is hard to get good dose of 02). My experience is the higher the setting
on the regulator the faster i get relief..

I have taken various meds for twenty years and about a
year ago stoped all but 02 because of side effects with long
term use and that nothing seemed to work for prolonged period of time.
The key for me is to hit the air at the first sign of the HA.
This allows me to abort some before they get going. My experience
has been that my HA does not get much worse after i get on the air.

Stay on the air till your head feels good or the bad boy may come back.
I seem to be having less painful attacks the last year(don't know why) don't
think its the 02.....

This last tip works for me may not for you..but concentration on the breathing
and relaxation is key, combine this with never wanting the tank to empty started the on off
method..I turn the regulator to 12 and breath and turn
it off as i exhale and on again to inhale..Gives me something to do with my hands and
helps to ignore the discomfort(somewhat)...

I stand cause i can't sit or lay and bending over
however slightly is a triger for me and brings more pain...
It sounds as though you may be useing 02 has prophlactic(sp)( twice a day for 15min etc.)
I have not had any luck with that and use only with the onset
of the HA.......Good luck ..hope it helps you!!
