Dear All,

I've finally managed to find a health authority and
doctor here who are prepared to give me an O2 tank, and
am just wondering a few things about how best to use it.
I've tried it twice today for about a quarter of an hour
each time. It gave pretty immediate relief, as long as I
was plugged into it, but both times the headache came
back pretty soon after coming off it. (I was using it at
9 li/min).

Questions then for those who are more used to it:

Is it common to find the pain returns, and should I wait
much longer?

Is it best to sit, stand or lie down (if the choice is
possible!)?

Slow normal breaths? Through the mouth or nose?

Do people use it combined with other things (eg. while
waiting for an Imigran tablet to kick in)?

Sorry to be so naive, but I'm used to whacking these things
with an Imigran jab within five to ten minutes, and I'm
not totally certain what to expect! (I'm only really trying
it to see if I can cut down on the jabs - two or more a day
for three years is a lot, but I'd rather that than the pain)

Thanks for your thoughts

Simon
