Like David, verapamil sr is working for me this time around. I did prednisone long enough to get through the first couple weeks of verapamil when it's not quite effective yet. I do 480 mg/day, no side effects.

Sansert 4 mg/day has worked for me in the past, as has lithium 1200 mg/day. Inderal worked once too. Strange thing is that the preventive med that worked last year probably won't work this year, but it might next year! Each cycle is an experiment....

Can't beat the imitrex injections, although I prefer the nasal spray personally because of cost. Pills will work for me in 45 minutes to an hour as long as I haven't eaten, but the sprays work in 10 minutes and the injections faster yet.
