Thanks, everyone, for the quick responses. I sometimes can't believe how fast this message board operates!
I talked to another pharmacist who recommended getting new meds; my doctor (he's a new one) hasn't returned the call yet, so I'll be buggin' him today.
My gut reaction is to hold on to the expired tablets just in case of emergency (the "We just refilled it yesterday so we thought you didn't need anymore" bull***t at the pharmacy I mentioned before). Even if the tabs operate at only 40% efficiency, that might still knock a #9 down to a #5 or so. Sounds like they won't kill me to use them. I'll get new meds to use in the meantime.
