Did you ask him about cutting the Imitrex dosage in 1/2 (See DJ's post on how to do that in the archives). Less side effect.
Imitrex is hard on the heart, but never heard the thing about age before.
You might try asking him about Ercap tabs. That's what I take (I don't like the feeling I get with Imitrex - never mind the age thing!)They do make me sick at my stomach so I take 25mg of Phenergan with them, but they last longer than Imitrex. The Ergotomines have always worked better on me than the triptans.
