Sorry about the clusters Jeremy, but I think you need to see a new shrink. For him or her to suggest that we are somehow just suffering from the consequences of "supressed anger" is total nonsense. Frankly such ill-informed comment might easily lead to real anger. My parents are alive and well. I was never mistreated as a child and it's almost insulting if some idiot is going around peddling such nonsense. Your shrink is almost a disgrace to the shrink profession.
