Wayne , I too have suffered from migraines for 2 years , I actually would lose part of my vision at times!and the headaches were constant though at times bearable but were never completly gone.My doctors wanted to put me on several of the meds you mentioned , but When he warned of the side effects, I told him I wasn't sure since I tend to be sensitive to certain meds anyways...I also mentioned the Excedrin for Migraine, to which he laughed and said it wouldn't do a thing for me. Luckily I didn't listen and went to the store and picked up a bottle of it and it is the first time in years I have had any relief!!!! and so quickly too!!!
In answer to one of the follow ups..yes it is the same thing as the excedrin extra stength, but the FDA allowed them to package it this way to bring to the attention of migrain sufferers that it would work , and to bring more info on the illness to the public. They have a site which gives all the study data and more info on the product . just type in Excedrin.com .
All I can say is what have you got to loose in trying it? It may be the best thing you ever did,it was for me...and my family who always had to suffer through it with me.
