I had a bad C/H cycle that started about a month ago. I am currently on verapamil ( max. of 480 mg. ). I had gone through a cycle with prednisone that was somewhat effective, but the headaches soon returned, although not as severe.
My wife mentioned to me about a woman she works with that suffers from severe migrains. The woman went through years of agony. She suggested to my wife that she takes Excedrin Migrain and that maybe I should try it.
I figured it couldn't hurt so the next night on came the headache. I took 2 of the pills and within 20 minutes the headache was at a level that I could easily tolerate, ( My C/H usually last for at least 45 mins. before the pain starts to decrease ).
I tried it several more times with the same results. I have also tried taking the pills before going to bed at night and they eliminated the C/H about 8 out of 10 times. I know this may not help everybody but it's was worth a try for me.
I have learned alot for the site.
