CHs hit me when I was 20. I just wish that I had never started smoking when I was a teen because then I probably would've used the birth control pill as a young woman and never would have had these headaches in the first place. I started BC pills only after I quit smoking (34 yrs. old then) and I didn't have a CH attack again until I went off the BC pills following a hysterectomy this past June. After a hell month of CHs, I went back on the pill. It took 10 days and I haven't had an attack for nearly a month!! My blood tests showed hormone levels as normal, but clearly, I need them to fight this beast.
