Bob I am not an expert on chronic clusters. I use this term because that was how I was diagnosed by my nuerologist. Chronic because I don't have any remission periods.Only one time that I can remember have I had one and that was after some hefty detoxing. I think, and like I said I am no expert that there are varying degrees to these things. We all have different chemical levels coursing through our bodies. We have different atmospheres to contend with and when you are researching serotonin somehwere it should also talk about the fluctuation of hormones because that affects serotonin levels too. My pain doesn't stay at a 7 or a five. I think you misread something there or I was not clear. It builds up to a 10( but doesn't 10 seem limiting to you when you have to rank?) I think of mine as a storm that I can feel building and it dies down just like a storm. It can go just as fast as it comes. People talk about haveing 2 or 3 a day. That is not the case with me. It builds up to an unreal intensity and then dies. Nothing I have taken drives out the pain. It can last up to 5 hours or it can last only 3. Have no doubt I know first hand that clusters are not the same as migraines. They are a whole other species. Does this help to make it clearer? Or have I created more confusion? Take care everyone
