I guess I am episodic with chronic shadows. Or maybe I'm chronic and my meds are working (1500mg Depakote, 30mg Paxil). I have constant, unremitting pain in the 2-3 range; icepicks fairly regularly; and then muted attacks in the 4-5 range with Horner's syndrome and all, maybe 2 to 6 times a day--this is remission.
Unless my meds are really working (I can't tell any more) I can expect a four-week period in the next several months of 4-6 10s daily. These go from inkling to 10 in 5 minutes or less, last for 45 minutes to an hour, and then settle back down to 2 or 3.
