These health care proposals are nothing more than solutions in search of a problem.
As imperfect as our health care system is, it is the best in the world. It is no coincidence that people from around ( the rich and the poor, I might add ) need a particular procedure they come here.
The problem, if I may be so bold, with our health care system is the costs our too transparent. Creating some huge naional program would only exacerbate that.
The millions of people that some claim have no health insurance is a crock. The large majority of these uninsured are very temporarily uinsured -they tend to be kids just out of college who (or their parents ) opt not to pay for insurance till they land that first job.
No one goes without health care in this country - not even the uninsured. The uninsured just visit emergency rooms.
There is only one health care crisis in this country - a crisis of responsibiity.
PS - you may have a right to health care - but I don't - I just have a right to pursue health care by paying for insurance or paying out of pocket. We also need to take care of the irresponsible, we just need to call that what it is - charity or welfare.
