I guess I'm not a good source to say whether female hormones have anything to do with clusters because it is my husband who is the sufferer in our family. I do know that, my cluster friends who are female say their attacks definately are worse when their hormones are raging...
As far as the pill goes, it has been my experience that the pill actually causes headaches (it did for me anyways but not clusters)so I don't think that was the reason you were h/a free.....?
