Jackie

Thanks for the advice.

I'm about 4 days into this and I can already see
the difference. Where I was having 3-4 h/a's a
day, each of which required an imitrex injection,
I now am having one per day just after lunch.
They are not nearly as severe, as I am having
one just now and couldn't usually sit still, let
alone type. I can feel the pressure behind my
eye and the eyelid droop, so it is a full blown
cluster, the only thing missing is the intense
pain.

I have a few questions for you:

1. Do you use anything other than the prednisone
i.e. do you take imitrex for the bad h/a's
and does it negatively react with the
prednisone?

2. Are you on any other preventatives like
verapamil or depokate?

This is definitely better than it was, and my
hope is that when the taper is over, the cycle
will be nearly over. If I have to go on another
taper, should I wait a few days in between.

Having a source of information like you guys is
a wonderful thing.

Thanks again

Rick
