I have found the same thing that Gary describes. A medicine might help a little or not at all. If it helps one year there is no telling weather it will work next year. When I was on Prednesone it helped the first year but it took three years to wean myself off it. The side effects were not much fun ether. This year I'm using Depakote and it seams to be reducing the severity of each attack but is increasing the overall number of attacks. Either that, or its just a bad year for numbers but a good year for severity. I don't know which and I don't think anyone else does either. That's the nature of this beast. After 21 years of it I do know that nothing I've used so far is predictable. Maby someday!!!!!
