I know lots of people disagree with this theory but that's what makes diversity interesting, right?
Mike has tried lots of meds and some helped for awhile but nothing medicinal has ever ended his cycles. FOR HIM, the shortest cycles have been when he was med free. His pain was intense, there is no doubt of that but we have never found anything to take that pain away. The water treatment worked very quickly to abort his last cycle but, the more I'm learning from this website, the more I'm convinced that this is why the water treatment worked for him: because there was no chemical interference.
I strongly believe that some of the meds out there actually DO prolong cycles - they may mask the pain but do they end up creating more problems with side effects and long term damage?
I, as a layperson, question the validity of Paxil for clusters....to my knowledge Paxil is an anti-depressant, that docs use here for people who can't tolerate Prozac.
Just my thoughts but I can't help but think that maybe we're making the problem worse with meds?
