Actually, our quasi-theories may mesh, to some degree.
In reviewing my history of clusters (episodic for 16 years), it appears to me that, rather than stress being a trigger, the LETDOWN after a stressful period triggers an onset.
Now, for the record, I have had high stress jobs all my life. I also seem to be attracted to high stress personal relationships. I handle stress far better than the 'average' person, what or who ever that might be.
Although my cycles are seasonal in nature (spring always and fall when I've been a bad boy), they have not been every year. Typically every 2 years, though the last was after 3 and the 2 before that were only 1 year apart. Point is, each followed a period of high stress, but not immediately....instead a few weeks later.
Now, how do testosterone levels and stress relate?
KTSSU,
T
