i have had clusters for about four years, but until this last series they were limited to one a day.
because of this i never sought help, relegating myself to dealing with them until the series past (lots of pacing).
now however, i am up to three to five a day with a marked increase in the severity/longevity.
i have tried Imitrex, Maxalt and Zomig as well as oxygen at the onset of an attack w/out success.
i'm currently trying Verapamil as a prophylactic.
my question is this:
how long does the verapamil take to start having an effect on C/H. i have noticed a change in the times of the headaches.
yesterday i went C/H free until about 9:30pm (normaly i would have had two or three by that time) but had two more by 3:00am.
i'm wondering if this change is a result of the meds or just a change in the C/H's. i suppose i would like to hear some real experience with the drug.
