Because it sounds like a hybrid of CHs and migraines. Have you had an MRI or anything similar? This could help rule out other problems. You said, unless I misread you, that your headaches last a minimum of 48 hours but then later talk of the ones that last for several hours and come on daily. So I'm a bit confused there. But, for both of those attack periods, does the pain stay at a constant level non-stop or does the intensity fluctuate (Go to the Kip scale to the left to give a more accurate description of the pain level)? the reason I ask this is because we sometimes have what we call "shadows" which very well can manifest itself by lingering pain after an attack. So, is it possible that you may get an attack, then a shadow, then another attack ....?
