Saw my neuro yesterday to load up on drugs for the holidays
and took him some printouts from the board about O2(reinforcement for new
prescription) and using lights to trick the monster...
The conversation turned to Dr. Goadsby and the new research he's doing.
Just my ignorance but was surprised when he told me
that Goadsby works for Glaxo Wellcome and that 15 years
ago he was the man that found all the links to seretonin
etc...He's why we have imitrex..BUT the conversation turned
to all the drugs we try and that they are not CH specific
in most cases and did i know that ours is one of the maladys
that is being treated with Cocaine??? My time was over
with him and was not able to ask more questions other
than "you mean the 'cain' in lidocaine"..His answer was
no THE cocaine....(He mentioned the numbing effect of the
drug on nasal lining)
So the questions are.......One is Goadsby researching Cocaine
in his clinc or has anyone heard of this type of treatment???
And have any of us used this method to get what I guess
would be that 'healin feelin'............
