I haven't posted for a while as I have been pain free for about 5 months, but now here I go again. I usually have around 18 months pain free, not sure why this is starting again so soon. I couldn't imagine being chronic. I think the worst thing that I am feeling right now is the fear of the pain, that I won't be able to get thru it this time. I have been to a new doctor and he put me on verapamil 360mg, predisone 70 mg for 2 weeks and then tapering, imitrex, lidocaine and oxygen, thank God for a medical plan at work. This new doctor was great, he is the first doctor who seems to understand what this is all about and truly seems to get it. I am having more difficulty getting sleep on these meds. I have enough trouble getting any sleep around the headaches.
I'm not so sure my boss is going to understand that I need more time off again this year, but he has actually asked me for some information so he can try to understand what is going on with me and maybe we can work around this. I hope so.
