sure doesn't sound like you have come to the right place, Ralphyboy. Yet another example of what Todd is talking about in his post below. This site is for cluster headache sufferers. The symptoms you describe are more like migraine. I strongly suggest you find another doctor and get a second opinion. The migraine sufferers have an excellent website and I'm sure you will find that your symptoms more closely follow their traditional ones.
Read Todd's post - the treatment(s) for cluster will most probably NOT work for you and they could end up making your symptoms worse. Sounds like you have a very behind-the-times doc on board and he has steered you incorrectly to the conclusion that you have some form of cluster. Read the Cluster Traits at the left, take the Cluster Quiz, read the first page of this website, and I'm sure you will find that you may have landed on the wrong place. There are links on the left to other headache sites and I'm sure you will find a home amongst them.
People, this is EXACTLY what Todd is talking about. This group has been assembled to become a refuge for CLUSTER HEADACHE sufferers to be amongst their own, to find understanding and compassion from others who live with clusters too. Why is this such a difficult concept to grasp?
I'm sorry, Ralphyboy, that you are having so much pain and I really don't mean to be rude or to offend you. Just trying to steer you in the right direction. Hope you find some relief soon.
