Nothing to feel guilty about because unless you are literally boring a red-hot pointy spike in your head the pain that you're having that your wife watches is not your fault. And she sounds like a good supporter for you and probably wouldn't want you to feel the guilt on top of everything else. Also, I want to remind you not to take the Imitrex too much because of adverse effects of toxing out.
As far as the suicidal thoughts while the pain persists? Yeah, I think that many of us have been there more times than we care to say, but next time you feel that way, remember two things:
1) The pain will subside and with it, so will those thoughts because you'll be on the better side of life again.
2)We all (and you) are here to attest to #1.
