My favorite episode of that classic show was the one in which Charles Emerson Winchester the 3rd strutted around, chest all puffed out with hubris, after reattaching the nearly severed hand of a GI. Upon awakening, the GI was told that although he had lost real use of the hand, at least he still had it. He screamed, cried and sank into a suicidal depression. Turns out he was a concert pianist, and without full use of his fingers he felt his life to be over.

Devastated, Charles searched diligently to find the two or three concertos that had been written for the left hand alone. His every effort to help was rejected, until he finally said:
"I can play the notes, but I cannot make the music. You can make music."

Just a thought from a music loving tone-deaf guy with 10 thumbs and years of wasted lessons.
KTSSU,
T
