I have taken numerous medications ranging from ergotamine to imitrex(which made me too sick to keep taking it) to Nortryptaline and more and haven't really found anything that works consistently against cluster headaches. The Tryptaline's: Nortryptaline and Amitryptaline are antidepressant drugs, used in small doses on a daily basis to prevent Migraines, but they don't seem to be working consistently and effectively for me. I've heard of Topamax and Depakote which are anti-seizure drugs, and once again, used in small doses can prevent Migraines. Any comments on depakote or topamax.
