No matter what the drug is usually used for, if it's got good success for preventing clusters, I would give it a try. As someone who was chronic when not on something or other, I've been rotated through and back through again lots of combos... Verapamil would work well for long periods (a blood pressure medicine), Lithium has helped at times (an anti-manicdepressive), Depakote results were varied (anti-manicdepressive and anti-seizure), Sansert worked well but with weight gain (an anti-migraine drug--though I've only had clusters, no migraines), prednisone (some sort of steroid?) usually gives me a break for a week or two between the others mentioned...and several I can't even remember.
