hey, as my husband says, he would go in the back yard and eat dog poop if he thought it would help. Mike is in a "cycle" right now but, because he is pounding the water, it is much milder than the cycles I have witnessed over the last 14 years. When he does have an attack it is much shorter in duration and he has only had at most 3 a day, when usual for him is 6 - 8 attacks at the peak of a cycle.
He has been flirting with a cycle for the last few months but it has never really hit full force because, we believe, he has been chasing it away with water. You know the old adage of sprinkling Holy Water on the Devil.........? ya never know.
When an attack hits him, he reaches for the water, goes out into our unheated garage and does a "few hits" of welder's O2 (therefore CHILLED O2, to some extent - we are talking minus 20 right now outside here) and he is usually pain free within 15 minutes. There's just got to be something said for med free relief.
