Back in 1990, when I was also being misdiagnosed with short-duration recurring migraines, I was prescribed Inderal. One of the listed potential side effects is "Reversible depression, progressing to catatonia". I got it.
Watch out for the blues -- they can progress to the point that people will mistake you for a character in Cuckoo's Nest. If depression does happen, though, it goes away in just a couple days after the Inderal is discontinued.
This was my experience -- hope yours is different!
