Have you ever heard the saying "knowledge is power". I couldn't agree with it more.
I, too, went through my cycles for years, being misunderstood, fearful and feeling like an outcast. This site has helped to change my perspective and taught me many coping mechanisms. Early on in my attacks, I was unable to sit still, and cried almost every time.
Now, mostly, I take myself into my safe room, armed with ice packs, warm compresses, soft music and try to meditate my pain away. I've had some great success doing this, but wouldn't have known this without CH.COM.
No matter how many books I read on the subject, because of the description of CHers, I could almost feel the scorn from the docs written word, therefore, I was reluctant to admit my *curse* and get the real help I needed.
Thanks Elaine for bringing up this subject & Thanks DJ for having this wonderful site.
