I used to get em, most weird sensation, lasted up to 20 mins. Haven't had them for ages. They sometimes heralded a cluster, sometimes not. Really funny sensation and I seemed to lose peripheral vision. Sorry, cant explain em or help about cause, interesting to know that I'm not the only one tho! PFDAN......maggie
