Russel had a good question! When I first came to this site, My level 10 pain was Kips level 10.
Now that I have learned how to Deal with the Pain,
because of information found on this site! What use to be a level 10 for me is now a level 8 on the Kip scale. The pain has not really changed I just DEAL with it better! Kips scale is also the way we know how each other is doing on the board. I hope this helps! I do not think Doctors or any one else who DOES NOT have clusters understands our pain, how could they? We find it hard to to explain it to them and we have the pain! That is another reason for the Kip scale. I took a print out of the kip scale to my doctor and he understood how bad I hurt then!
