there is absolutely no doubt that there is an EXTREMELY strong temporal correlation between night attacks and the onset of REM sleep

I suspect we will someday find that some of the same biochemical triggers that lead us into REM sleep, ALSO function to set off an attack in an active clusterhead

parallel events ARE important because they can provide valuable hints at where to look for CH answers

PLUS
I couldn't agree more with Jack's comment that (paraphrasing)there seems to be an extremely strong correlation between the amount of decent sleep we get, and the severity of the cluster on a day to day basis

and THERE is one of the challenges of dealing with CH
how to get decent sleep in spite of the "90 minutes nap & atack" dynamic
