Ok Jack I am chronic so I am going to jump right in (sorry it took so long to get here) but I made it. Now this can be looked at two ways yours and mine. Mind you these are also theories !

(1) Episodics could be the ones with a more sever form of the disease than chronics.

(2) Episodics have a qualitatively different form of the disease. There is something ELSE wrong with them.

Reason for my thinking of the above two is that maybe their brain is malfunctioned and signals are not being relayed to let them know that they should feel pain. You understand like a lose connection. You know, one day they turn their head a certain way and the wires connect again, and signals are flowing again and here comes a cycle then one day they do the head banging thing and the wire comes loses again. The chronics wire never comes lose.

(3) medication, I have only been on preventive medication for three years and have been chronic for going on 20 years so preventive medication has not prolonged chronic cluster disease in me.

I really, really want to know why Episodics have a wire lose, so I can loosen mine.
