.....and never have experienced a "remission" of longer than 14 days. Read my post again. I was on NO medications for the first three years of my [Chronic Cluster Headache Life]. I've been chronic for 16 years total now. Only been on Verapamil for 13 years. During that 13 years I have taken myself off of Verapamil with the careful watchful eye of an educated Neurologist. How do I know my Neurologist is educated in Cluster Headaches? Easy. I educated him about Cluster Headaches and he educated me too. Every once in a while I gradually decrease ALL medications from my system and "see" what happens. So far, every time I perform this little experiment; I get 8 VERY severe Cluster attacks per day. No matter what time of year I perform this "med-free" experiment. Hope this helps.
