How on earth did you know on DAY ONE that you were having a CH-attack? Did you have prior knowledge of CH? As you stated that you educated your doctor about CH, who 1st diagnosed you?
As for me, I can't remember my very 1st CH-attack. I remember having bad HAs which were diagnosed as migranes for quite some time, before my first prolonged cluster-cycle kicked my ass in 1991-92.
I don't doubt you, but I think that if you were able to get diagnosed during your first cluster-attack, or even during your first cluster-cycle you are a very LUCKY fellow.
