I'd like to try and respond.

I think, (and I could be wrong) that you're talking about several different issues here. Please alllow me to try and explain with out being accused of being "ignorant".

1) Coping vs. Aborting.
For me; I believe that the only psychological aspect of Clusters is my personal "coping" technique. [Mind games, breathing excercises, rocking, etc].
Since I believe that Clusters are purely a physical condition, (my personal theories come from the Hypothalamus, Serotonin, Melatonin, etc.) I use Imitrex injections to "abort" the acute Cluster attack.
I am in absolute agreement with you here also because I think that you hit a good point with personalities. (Example: some people focus ON the pain while others focus AWAY from the pain). Again those are "coping" techniques. Some people "abort" their attacks like me and others breathe Oxygen and still others do nothing at all.

2) CH.com
I agree that CH.com has nothing to do with your theory and that you were simply using CH.com as an example of a "tool" that clusterheads now have available to them for support and for sharing ideas and thoughts. Like you have used CH.com to share your theory.

3) Your theory that there is a "causative" component to Cluster Headaches and that "causative" component is Psychological, (personality).
I respectfully disagree. Again, I believe that Cluster Headaches are purely physical.

I respect your theory though and I hope you will respect mine. Please forgive me if I have read your posts incorrectly.
