Well, I can't answer your question as to why the pain disappears after throwing up, but I can tell my experience. Last year was the worst year I ever had, before I found oxygen! I threw up with every headache and it did ease the pain, but, only for a short while. Sometimes enough for me to fall asleep, sometimes not. I wasted a lot of meds last year plus I lost a lot of weight. What a way to diet! I tried to eat things that wouldn't hurt coming back up because I knew I was going to vomit several times at night. I've never had insurance so was not able to buy imitrex injections. Anyways, just my story :)
