I just ran this question by a friend by e-mail not to long ago. Down the page a bit some folks were describing what a cluster headache is like. It is like pouring pure pain right out of hell onto your raw and tender soul. It leaves scars, and it makes you afraid of the next time it will happen.

What you are talking about, and what I was talking about is simply wanting to run and hide from torture we do not deserve, and we all feel that way sometimes. Sure, some times for periods of time our senses get numb from the scars that form. But, sometimes we pull a shell over ourselves and shut out all the sunlight, thinking somehow we can exclude the pain as well. We can't. Talking with friends here will help heal the scars. We must work to be sure we do not wall ourselves off from all the good in life in an attempt to avoid the pain. These attacks can generate so much anger in us, and there is no focus for the anger. It is an unnatural situation. What do you think, fellow CH'ers? How do we deal with this unnatural psychological situation? This comes up a lot around here.
