As I understand it, the region of the brain responsible for the nasty CH may respond to fluctuation in blood seratonin level. These levels, in turn, may be affected by the bodies perception of seasonality as signalled by teh amount of sunlight available. Indoor light, it seems, is a poos substitute for sunlight. Therefore, various companies manufacture full-spectrum lights that vary from fluorescent bulbs for regular fixtures to task lamps for the desk. One internet contributors claims to have been CH free since using these lights. My doctor suggested I try it, what is there to loose. A search of the internest will provide several options. I ordered from Ott Light. Oh, the idea is 30 minutes a day minimum. And you must give up watching Ally McBeal (just kidding).
