Hi. I am new here. found the site out of desperation, as I am suffering a horrrible cluster.
Let me tell you a little about myself and my cluster history.
I had my first attack when I was 15, it lasted two days. The first one I ever had woke me up in the middle of the night,
and i swear, I though I was dying. Woke my father up ( who is a doctor). His mother had migraines when he was growing up,
and he had also dealt with this sort of thing in the hospital, so he was able to understand and explain what was happening to me, the next day of course,
as I was too prostrate with pain to listen. That night he gave me 3 percosets to knock me out. I had never had a narcoctic before in my life and it took three of those to knock me out.
Then 2 days later it was over and I didn't have another one for 4 years.
Anyways, my fist year of college, after I went off the pill, I had a cluster that lasted for two months, 4-6 headaches a day.
With my father being a doctor I was lucky in that I didn't not have to endure a lot of misdiagnosing or dibeleif from unenlightened doctors. My doc put me imitrex tablets an an anti-depressent as a preventive.

Imitrex is great in that it makes it tolerable, but the pills don
't ork fast enough.

So. I am 23 and I teach kindergaden and pre-k in Portland OR. It is quarter after six in the morning and I just finished with a headache.
The worst thing is that normally the only thing I can do during one is pace around, but two weeks ago I broke my ankle, so I am limited to rocking back and forth and the pulling of hair.
