When I first started getting c/h's, I put a hot compress, as hot as I could stand it, over my temple and eye. A hot shower helped me too. It didn't abort the h/a but it took the edge off the pain. Cold, or ice packs works too, for some sufferers. Now, I rely completely on Imitrex injections ( 1/3 dose or 2 mg) I use no preventative meds at all( they make too groggy ) Ibuprophen gets rid of lingering shadows for me. Have you tried injectable Imitrex?
