Prednisone is a double edged sword. Quite effective for stopping CH attacks for some. Short term bad effects are: Zits, weight gain, "loose joints". Long term effects are: Thinning of the skin, bone loss, weight gain and joint problems. 20mg is a fairly low dose but you only want to stay on this for four to six weeks. Please e-mail me if you want more info. I have been a slave to prednisone for many years and know what to watch for.
