at one time they tried me on some sort of epilepsy medication, for my CH - didn't work
but HAVE had a bizarre related experience a few years back -
developed esophagitis from reflux problems, the coughing that resulted would quickly trigger a faint, with some degree of convulsion - as soon as I was "out" everything settled down & I came to;
was happening many times a day - several docs were puzzled - the I found it described in a 1910 ear-nose-throat med book !!!!
(the ENT guy who I'd been seeing agreed to cancel my bill in exchange for the book, pretty cool, eh ? - he was one of those rare MDs who are willing to admit they don't know it all, and eagerly embrace more information wherever they can get it)
then later, the CH doc I was working with at the time said: "oh yeah, sure, that's called tussive syncope" (plain english: fainting from coughing)

related ?? obviously, if nothing more than both CH & the repetitive syncope occurred in the same patient
(BTW - TS has not recurred since the intial bout)

I think it's good to toss this stuff out - never can tell when we stumble on something !
