To me, "cure" means never having to treat again. Kinda like an abscessed tooth (sp?) with nerve damage. If you continue taking the antibiotics to kill the infection, you are controlling the infection and keeping the pain to a minimum or at least, manageable, level. But, you are NOT curing the problem. Extracting that tooth and the nerve would be curing the problem.
I think Flash's mushroom theory is a control, nothing more. An amazingly effective control for some people, mind you, but not a cure.
A cure is not something that needs to be repeated. To me, a cure is a one-time-get-it-over-and-be-done-with-it deal. A "control" is continued treatment that works.
Either way though - our common goal here is to find relief, no matter what we call it - it's just that the use of the word "cure" has, in the past, been a trigger for a lot of folks since many of us believe a cure has not been found and it gets kinda depressing after awhile.
I still love ya, though :)
