My husband has had cluster headaches for about 12 years and suffered horribly. He is a railroad engineer and has varied sleeping patterns. After working all night...he would try and sleep...would end up with 6 or 7 headaches. We found a doctor in Tyler, Texas (after going to appx 8 other doctors) who is a headache specialist. He prescribed Indomethacin as needed for pain; Verapamil twice daily as a preventative. The first visit he took all kinds of tests and gave him some type of allergy shots ..two I believe that first week along with the medication. This has been a god send for him. Approximately every 2 years he has to increase the Verapamil slightly as they will start back somewhat....even then not ANYTHING like before. This may help someone else.
